Welcome to our Art by Harriet Peck Taylor Page!

Farfel's Farm is pleased to offer this line of fine art giclee prints from Colorado artist Harriet Peck Taylor.
An award-winning author and illustrator of 7 children's boooks, Harriet draws inspiration from the beautiful environment of the North American West. "My artistic vision comes from the time I spend each year hiking and camping from Arizona to Alaska...my senses become attuned to the nuances of that particular place and moment: a meadow lark’s song on a sky blue day; bear claw marks on an Aspen; a coyote’s howl on a moonlit night. All these things inspire me and are the driving force behind my art. My art is not a naturalist’s realism. It is nature distilled through my imagination."
"I work in a hand-painted batik process, an Indonesian form of dying and waxing fabric. I draw on cotton with hot, liquid wax and then paint vibrant dyes onto the fabric. I then apply several more layers of wax and dyes. The wax gives clarity to my lines and textures while the dyes create the rich, fluid colors."
Her giclees are printed on acid-free Textured Linen or Textured Velvet Fine Art Paper using pigment-based archival inks (rather than dyes), and are estimated to last more than 100 years.
Each giclee print sold by Farfel's Farm is 10-1/2" x 14-1/2,"
and includes a beautiful wooden frame (framed, each print measures 18" x 22").
